I'm currently debating over my senior quote. Should I stick with your run-of-the-mill pseudo philosophical nonsense or sneak in something with some actual substance?
I'm gunning for a Malcolm X quote, but I wouldn't put it past my Catholic School administration to deem it as too inappropriate and suggest something "suitable" or some bullshit.
Whatever.
"Be peaceful, be courteous, obey the law, respect everyone; but if someone puts his hand on you, send him to the cemetery."
Malcolm X
P.S. I've got a backup Zora Neale Hurston quote. While still pretty badass, the idea of it creating less of a fuss with my principal makes the quote more than slightly less appealing to me.
"Sometimes, I feel discriminated against, but it does not make me angry. It merely astonishes me. How can any deny themselves the pleasure of my company? It's beyond me.”
Zora Neale Hurston ♥
